The skys the limit!
Salt and pepper are a group of people with and without learning difficulties who were concerned at the problems of finding work if there are barriers such as age or disability. We thought we could try and find a different way.
We have set up co-operatives which we will use as a platform for employment, and we want other people to join us.
Salt and Pepper aims to give members a VOICE - we want to be heard, VISION - we have ideas, hopes and dreams, VALUE - we want to be valued and to contribute - labels won't stop us!
WHAT WE DO
We have set up:
A training company to help people explore setting up their own company or working with a group `to set up co-operatives,
Support groups for people working towards this goal
The Green Key Co-operative making beeswax wraps and cotton shopping bags
The 'lets Get Going' holiday group which will give people the opportunity to travel and have adventures
This is just the start...we have lots of ideas... we know there will be challenges but we know that as a group we can find ways to overcome them.
